These swirl dividers are made especially for our 5-pound soap mold liners. It comes with an extra "spacer" that fits in between the dividers to keep them in place. Unlike our earlier style of dividers, this one is evenly spaced between the removable dividers so you can make a batch of soap and divide into equal parts without worrying if you have the right amount for each space. This tool is amazing for creating advanced swirls such as the well-known mantra swirl.
The swirl divider can be divided into three or four sections depending on which side of the end piece is used. One side has three grooves to slide the dividers into and the other side has two grooves.
Love using this divider to make taiwan swirls in cold process soap! Only problems I had with it were that it came out of the packaging slightly bent, but that was rectified by using the middle divider and then putting it under some books for a few days. Highly recommend for anyone making complex swirls!
5 lb Mold divider
Love it. Works great for Taiwan swirl.
It works but......
I was so excited to get this divider tool and get to work making all kinds of swirl designs, but it doesn't quite fit the mold. Now, I am in fact using the nurture soap green silicone lined 5lb mold, so that's not the issue. The liner pieces are just slightly too long to fit with both of the end 'slot' pieces in the mold. There's enough room for one slot piece, and then the dividers hit the other side of the liner with no space for the second one, though both end slot pieces are necessary to keep the dividers straight. I managed to get it to work by balancing one of the slot pieces on the lip of the silicone liner while I poured, but i'm a fair bit disappointed its not as good of a fit as I hoped. I'm assuming I just got a bit of a wonky one, judging by the other reviews !
I finally got it!
This was a super easy to use set of dividers and they fit the 5 lb mold perfectly!
Worked like a charm!
I tried making my own divider and that didn't work out, so I caved and bought these. So glad I did! It worked perfectly! I'm still working on getting the design just right, but these dividers have made it possible to try new things I never would have been able to otherwise.
