Description

MMMMMM... Coconut! Coconut & Vetiver fragrance oil is creamed coconut with bits of almond, milk, vetiver, and vanilla. It smells so good! Compare to Lush® brand Trichomania™

3/25/2020 - This fragrance has been reformulated to accelerate less in soap! The new formula accelerates much less and doesn't act quite so crazy in CP. It did separate in our testing. Read the testing notes for more info.

New Formula Tested 3/27/2020: With the Nurture Soap Making Blend in a 33% lye solution with 5% superfat. This fragrance does not accelerate but does separate. I had to stick blend into submission but it poured nicely. It's much better than the old formula but I would recommend it for advanced soap makers. Best if soaped at around 76 degrees and at about 4% of the total oils. It is highly recommended to do a small test batch first to see if this fragrance works with your recipe.

Old Formula Tested 6/28/18: In a recipe of 33% lye solution with 5% superfat at 75 degrees. Recipe is 35% olive, 35% organic and sustainable palm, 20% coconut, and 10% castor. I was prepared for rapid acceleration because of the reviews. I experienced the opposite. For me, this fragrance would not trace. I actually thought I had mismeasured because it stayed liquid for so long. I quit blending because my stick blender was getting hot.

Once I got the soap in the mold, it did set up rather quickly. There seems to be something - most likely temperature - that 'activates' this fragrance.

6/29/18 - I unmolded this the day after testing. The fragrance had heated up so much in the mold that it left a huge hole in the middle. When cut, it leaked fragrance everywhere. This is definitely not recommended for cold process!

• Acceleration in Cold Process: Yes - Separation
• Discoloration in Cold Process: Dark brown

Riced Dreams

Tried in a 100% Coconut Oil recipe. The batch riced liked crazy although it did smooth out after a lot of blending. Once poured in the mold the fragrance oil separated.

Yes, we do warn about this on the product description!

Essential oils that don't seize up or discolor

ALL of the essential oils I ordered performed perfectly in my soap. No discoloration or accelerated trace.

I like it..

I like the scent but out of bottle there is just something... I need to use it in a few more applications to give it a fair review.
