One of my all time favorite scents...10 stars! It retains its scent in cp soap wonderfully.
I have LOVED this scent SO MUCH, I had to come back for more & put it in CP! For those who love Lush's "The Smell of Weather Turning", this is a SPOT-ON representation of it! For those who are unfamiliar with the scent, this is the quintessential, yet also beautifully romanticized, aroma of how the air & earth smells when the weather begins to turn crisp & cool- It's a masterpiece! In CP tho- OMG! I didn't think I could love this FO any MORE than I already did, but it SINGS in application! Like a few other reviewers (and this is recipe-dependant, so please take my experience with a grain of salt), I also experienced pretty moderate acceleration in my personal, liquid-discounted, faster-moving recipe, but I'm not taking ANY stars away! There was no ricing, no other issues, and although my design didn't quite come out the way I envisioned, I was still able to work quickly, get a hanger tool through it, and end up with a result I'm pleased with (and a scent I'm infatuated with)! Next time (and there WILL be a "next time"!), I'll just use a more forgiving recipe & more liquid... minor issue solved! Despite the acceleration, it was still quite workable, and the gorgeous aromatherapeutic qualities of this incredible fragrance had me feeling ZERO stress while working with it! In EVERY way, I absolutely LOVE this soul-cleansing aroma and would give it 100 stars if that were possible!
As I sit here in the middle of a 110 degree summer dreaming of cooler weather, I decided to take a chance and order this fragrance. My only compliant is that I didn't just go ahead and buy gallons of it! This is a really complex fragrance. The mint and chamomile really shine, but it's one of those scents that transport you. I can easily close my eyes and feel like I am right in the middle of a windy fall day thanks to the hay and grassy/herbal/forest notes. My house smells absolutely divine!
I did experience some acceleration, but it wasn't unworkable. I used 3.25 ounces of fragrance in 5 pounds of cold process soap and I soaped at 90 degrees and hand-stirred. I do use a 23% water discount. I had planned on attempting an ITPS with 5 colors, but it ended up being too thick so I put it in the mold in layers and did a hanger swirl. I would caution against heavy use of stick blenders with intricate designs until you see exactly how it handles with your personal recipe. Don't let the potential of mild acceleration turn you away from this wonderful fragrance though. It's well worth it!!! I will be ordering more of this very soon.
