Add Activated Charcoal to your soap making oils before adding your lye. Disperse thoroughly with a stick blender until it is fully mixed, then add your lye water. This will help achieve the darkest black.

Gel your soap! If you gel your soap if using activated charcoal your soap will turn very dark. Gelling is the secret to getting the blackest black with activated charcoal in cold process soaps.

Activated Charcoal to Color Cold Processed Soap

Gives a true black color. Used it in a bi-color soap and worked well.

Perfect

I use this in every soap that needs or requires black... I have used other black colorants in the past which have all stained my shower.. this one however has not caused any staining and it mixes surprisingly well when blending. I bought it in a small quantity since i have never used it before but will be ordering a larger size next time!

Activated Charcoal = BLACK CP SOAP 🖤

Love it so much and such a breeze to work with. No clumps, no mess, it's amazing and really makes the blackest black in CP soap

A HIGH GRADE CHARCOAL.

I love activated charcoal. I love Nurture Soap Making Supplies - so why wouldn't I buy my charcoal from them. It mixes easily, works beautifully and doesn't permanently stain, like black oxide does. I use it whenever I want black in my soap. Just be mindful of the use rates or you could end up with a lot of black soap drippings in your soap dish. I highly recommend this product.
