    Please Revise the Testing Notes

When I buy FO, I always look at the testing notes to check the acceleration and discoloration info. This FO states that there is no acceleration, but it turned my soap batter into thick trace within a few seconds. I used the Nurture Soap oil blend and soaped between 95-100F. I love the smell of this FO, but it was a disappointment with the incorrect acceleration info.

The testing notes are not incorrect, they just don't reflect the same results you got. In our testing notes you will see we mention that we tested at 70 degrees, soaping higher than that can and most likey will give you different results than we had!

Love the smell hate the acceleration!! I just made my first batch with this lovely scent but holy cow it accelerated fast!! I soap at 80 degrees and only brought to a light trace but bam it went to thick frosting in seconds!! We will see how the soap turns out but I am not counting on a great design lol

    Unique and bright

I love love love this smell. It embodies everything I want in a soap. Super fresh yet warm smell. I will be buying this again and again.

    Beautiful scent

It’s like a sunny citrus day at the beach. I bought a small size to try it out and quickly ran out in both bath bombs and soap. It’s well liked all around and works well in both.

    Oil went bad

I had a 16 oz bottle of 8th and Ocean that was less than a year since purchase and when I went to use it it smelled very off and nothing like 8th and Ocean. I contacted the company and was advised that I could try adding some citrus fragrance to it. I ended up not doing that because I didn't want to make a batch of soap and then waste those materials. I'm really disappointed the FO didn't last because it's usually great for scent retention in CP, but this bottle ended up getting tossed. Wasting FO is painful for a small company so it would have been nice if Nurture had offered to replace it. It makes me hesitant to order FO from them going forward, so I'm careful to only order what I will use right away.

We so sorry you were disappointed. As discussed in our emails back and forth to you, fragrance oils in general can last about a year but there is no set 'expiration date', some can last much longer and some may fade sooner but they don't 'go bad'. It was determined since your fragrance was already over 7 months old by the time you used it, it may have lost some potency. The top notes (which are citrus) may have faded, hence the suggestion to maybe try adding some citrus to 'revive' the scent. We simply can not replace fragrance oils that have faded over time.

    Definitely Accelerated

Absolutely love this scent but each time I use it, it does accelerate, super light trace, and all oils and lye were at 100, I just love it so much but you have to work super fast and I use this in my mermaid soap and my beach soap.

    Clean and fresh

Worked beautifully in cold process soap. Nice clean fresh scent for both women’s and men’s soap. Loved it!
