Prop 65: Titanium dioxide (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size) is on the Proposition 65 list because it can cause cancer. Exposure to titanium dioxide may increase the risk of cancer. Once incorporated into a liquid or solid base it is no longer airborne and falls off the Prop 65 list.

    Soap Use Notes

    • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
    • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of oils.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. ~

This can be used as an alternative to Titanium Dioxide. The samples shown in our pictures are typical use rates of 1 tsp. per pound which is not enough to significantly whiten soap.

To use as an alternative to titanium dioxide, Winter White mica should be used at 3 tsp. per pound of oils. This will result in a much brighter white and there is no speckling as titanium dioxide can sometimes do.

    Perfect alternative to TD

I find it’s just so much easier to work with this than Titanium dioxide sometimes, and gives you a lovely soft white with no spots or streaks.

    Great final touch!

If you want a very very white bar, you need to check the bases oils, this is a good option and add some glitter, however, it wont be super white if you use for example olive oil.

    Snow white

Good color, add little sparkling touch. If you want a very white soap, I recommend to check first the oils, this will help but if you use for example a lot of olive oil, probably you wont get a 100% white soap.

Winter White adds that glimmer to your soap. So bright and easy to work with. Can add straight to your soap batter and no clumps!

My go-to mica for mixing pale shades

Want to lighten up discoloring FO's without risking chunks of white-specks from titanium dioxide? Want to make any color a little more pale or pastel with an easy blend? Winter White is perfect for mixing, blending, or just lightening some soap without the hassle and acceleration of TD, and I always keep a bunch on hand. (note: I still use TD when I want that clean snow-white color -- by itself, Winter White is great for achieving a slight cream or off-white.)
