Velvet Pearl mica is a low shimmer white that will be a matte white in cold and hot process soaps. It is a great color to use when rather plain and low-sparkle white is needed. It truly is the color of pearls. It can also be used in place of titanium dioxide, but the result will not be nearly as white as plain TD. In clear melt and pour this an ideal replacement for TD when a hint of shimmer is desired.
Polysorbate 80 must be used when coloring bath bombs with micas. This ingredient helps incorporate mica in bath bombs to prevent staining and will prevent a mica powder ring in the bathtub.
