This color adamantly defied me. I would get just the right shade, and it would too light or too green when tested in CP. This olive was determined to put on a fight, but so was I - Ultimately I won!
One of the most counterintuitive colors I have created, this required a mix of colors that don't seem like the mesh to make this color, but they do. When I was done I did a happy dance. It's like the Adamant Olive said "Congratulations on finding me, and you've got some super sweet dance moves."
(Ok, the super sweet moves part might be slightly embellished, according to my coworkers).
I was a little worried upon pouring soap of this color, because it does morph to an unpleasant brownish green, but upon unfolding and cutting, it was a beautiful olive green, exactly as I imagined. I love this mica!
I've included a picture of the bars I made. The colors used were Adamant Olive and Cantaloupe.
Exact Color of an Olive!
This color ended up as the exact greenish yellow of an olive! I got worrried when it was wet, it turned a dark baby poo color but after saponification it turned the greenish yellow I was hoping for.
Wait for it...
I’m not gonna lie, this color is (in my opinion) so ugly in wet soap. I was so sad after mixing it using 1 tsp ppo. BUT, after it cures.... BEAUTIFUL!! Don’t let the wet soap color scare you. This is one of my new favorites!!
Adamantly in love with this olive!
I was looking for THE PERFECT shade of olive and found it in this mica! It amazingly organic-looking in CP, and at 1tsp/PPO is a stunning shade! Not your regular, dull olive green, this one has gorgeous golden undertones that really give it depth and opulence... Makes it look rich! Absolutely LOVE this shade of olive green, and will keep it a staple in my mica collection!
