Snow Queen fragrance oil is comprised of grapefruit, neroli and hints of rose. This is not an overly floral scent and will appeal to those who typically do not like florals. The citrus in the blends rounds out this fragrance very nicely giving it a burst of freshness. Compare to Lush® brand Frozen™
Tested 6/13/18 by Carrie T. (owner) in a recipe of 33% lye solution with 5% superfat at 70 degrees. Recipe is 35% olive, 35% organic and sustainable palm, 20% coconut, and 10% castor. Not quite soap on a stick, but really close! As soon as the fragrance hit the oils and lye it thickened. Because this fragrance accelerates so quickly, we recommend using it in other product besides cold process soap. It would be fabulous in bath bombs!

This review is for the OOB scent only and I'm not familiar with any of Lush's scents, so I can't compare on those lines. So ... regardless of the description ('not an overly floral scent and will appeal to those who typically do not like florals'), this is VERY floral OOB! Don't get me wrong ... I like florals, but when you open the bottle and flowers come out - when you're not expecting them to - well ... I guess I was expecting some kind of 'cold' winter scent with floral tones, but that's NOT what this is. Now to figure out how to use another floral (maybe use it for blending?). A quick note on the name: I get how a floral can relate to a 'Queen' but I don't get the 'Snow' connection ... so I'm guessing the name comes purely because it's supposed to be a Lush 'Frozen' dupe. Which means ... I need to carefully read the description to see if any particular FO is a dupe type, and if it is, I should expect the name to reflect more on the dupe relationship than any actual similarity the name may have to the actual scent. ~ lol ~ Live & learn.
This will make a lovely addition to my fall / winter collection!
Completely seized up both times I’ve tried using it in cold process soap. Smell is beautiful though.
WONDERFUL SCENT WELL WORTH THE EXTRA EFFORT
This one took a number of tries to be able to get a CP soap that looked as good as it smelled. I was able to get this FO to work by using a slower moving soap recipe with full water & soaping at room temperature. You have to have your color(s) already incorporated before hand stirring in the FO - work in layers and work quickly. I had no ricing but it does discolor slightly yellow. This fragrance smells just like the air after the first snowfall and stays strong even after a full cure. I had no problems making bath bombs with this FO.
