Red Violet mica stands apart from all our other colors. It is absolutely stunning. If a mica could be a show-stopper, it would be Red Violet. This mica packs a punch of red, pink, and purple all rolled up into one breathtaking color. We caution you to only use this mica if you don't like boring, because this mica is the life of the color party!
This color does turn a bright pink when added to cold process soap. To retain the true violet color use this mica in melt and pour soaps and products that don't have a high pH.
INCI: Mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, manganese violet
Safe for eyes, lips, and external use.
Micron size: 10-60
Recommended use rate in cold and hot process soap is 1 tsp. per pound of oils. For melt and pour, the recommended use rate is .5 tsp. per pound of base. To use in bath bombspolysorbate 80 must be used. Use polysorbate at half your oils. For example, if you use three teaspoons of carrier oils, now use 3 tsp of oils and 1.5 tsp. of poly 80. If your bath bombs are too wet, decrease the amount of poly and carriers oil by the same ratio. The addition of polysorbate will prevent staining or a mica powder ring around the tub.
