Purple Haze Mica Powder is an bold purple color that works wonderfully in soaps. It is a lab created mica based on fluorphlogopite, a synthetic mica formulated to be exceptionally brilliant and bright. It is created to be identical to naturally occuring muscovite mica, yet superior in color intensity.
Bath bombs: To use in bath bombs and similar in-bath products, use polysorbate 80 at a rate of 1-2% of your total batch weight.
Cold process soap: Mix in a bit of your soap making oils and then add this to your soap batch. See use rate below.
Melt and pour: Mix in a bit of rubbing alcohol, then add to your soap base. See use rate below
Hot process soap: Add toward the end of the cook for the most brilliant color. See use rate below
Liquid soap: Micas are not recommended for liquid soap as they will sink to the bottom and will not remain suspended.
Candles: Powdered colorants are not recommended as they may clog the wick. Try our dyes instead.
