Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

Mocha Brown

Fantastic shade to have in your color collection! Used to color my hot chocolate scented soap and as an accent color in my spice and woodgrain soaps!

nice rich brown

I used this brown as the darkest in a 3 shade soap. This brown is a really good deep rich color in c.p. soap. So far I am impressed. Did not accelerate or morphe. Good staple color in your mica stash. Also does not bleed, I tried a small piece of the 3 shades of Brown soap on a white wash cloth to check. Rinsed out perfectly.

Morphing

My base recipe is not white it is a cream color so this affected the outcome but I am not unhappy with it. I used 1 tsp ppo and when I poured it was a rich chocolate brown. When I unmolded this morning it was a gun metal grey with a touch of brown/yellow. It's unusual but fits the scent of my soap. I wonder if using it at 2 tsp ppo would keep it brown?

You certainly can go with 2 tps ppo and that should result in a deeper brown color! :)
