    Testing Notes

    Tested 6/28/18 in a recipe of 33% lye solution with 5% superfat at 75 degrees. Recipe is 35% olive, 35% organic and sustainable palm, 20% coconut, and 10% castor. At 33% lye solution this fragrance oil was very easy to work with.

    Too Strong

    It definitely smells like Lilacs, but it was too strong. There is somewhat of a chemical smell that comes through. I purchased this because I miss smelling Lilac bushes where I moved to. They aren't too abundant out West vs back East. Even after sitting for a couple of weeks it still has too strong of a smell.

    Beautiful scent

    I usually order sample bottles first but I took a chance and blindly ordered a larger bottle based on reviews alone, and I'm glad I did. This is such a beautiful scent, I used it immediately! I had no issues with CP soap. no acceleration, discoloration, etc. I also used the rest of it for some test small batches of HTLS shower gel, body butter, and body lotion and had no issues with those either.

    Smells like June.

    Made CP soap with Lilac Blossoms fragrance oil last night and cut it today. It smells just like lilac trees in June! It behaved very well in my soap, despite how florals usually behave! I was nervous that it would accelerate, but it was fine.

    True smell

    This is the closest you can get to a true lilac smell in Spring time. It got me nostalgic remembering my childhood years.
