The manufacturer has discontinued this product. We will be replacing it with a similar yellow called Rise & Shine, and it will be available in late April 2019. Save 50% off Lemon Chiffon Mica while supplies last!
Lemon Chiffon is a soft beautiful yellow in cold process soap. In some cold process recipes, this mica may turn orange during saponification and back to yellow during cure. If you use this color and see a bright orange in your soap shortly after, don't be alarmed. It is just Lemon Chiffon working its magic. It will soon turn back to a soft beautiful yellow.
CP: Mix 1 part color with 1 part oil then add to soap.
MP: Mix mica in 91% rubbing alcohol then add to soap base.
HP: Add micas toward the end of the cook to retain the most color.
Avoid green and yellow oils. The whiter the base, the brighter the color! Gelling soap makes colors pop. Read our FAQ section for more info on using colors.
Bath Bombs (if safe for use): Use polysorbate 80 when using mica to color bath bombs. This will help disperse the color and prevent a powder ring around the tub.
Perfect for my lavander lemonade CP soap! The orange tone desappear ins 2 days and the bright and fresh yellow tone appears
Such a delicate, yet rich, beautiful yellow. Stays true and I love the gorgeous shimmer.
Gorgeous pale yellow
I'm not the biggest bright yellow fan. This one if toned down and so pretty. I'm sad to see it's being discontinued. I bought backup for when its gone.
Nurture Soap has got your back!
I've gotta admit, I was so happy to receive this mica at such a great sale price, but also so bummed, knowing this color will soon be gone forever. It's a bittersweet thing for a manufacturer to discontinue a color (I mean, who doesn't love taking advantage of a great sale price on a beautiful mica?!), but then you find yourself hoarding it like it's powdered gold! Like my jar of the now discontinued, always fabulous "Belize Blue" mica. I will literally shed tears when it's gone! I had that same feeling when I saw this mica was on sale due to being discontinued, but was so happy to discover Nurture has got their customers covered by replacing it with their new "Rise & Shine" mica! I absolutely love this color!!!! In my recipe, it does temporarily morph to orange, but once saponification is complete it's a soft, cheerful shade of canary yellow... Or like the color of a fluffy baby chick! Sounds odd, but this color is adorable! I'm so happy I got a chance to purchase this mica before it wasn't available anymore, and even happier knowing that when it's all gone, I can return for Nurture's new "Rise & Shine" mica in its place! For those still mourning the loss of "Belize Blue" mica, I've found that NS's "Celestial Silver" is a worthy replacement! "Celestial Silver" carries more of a purple-blue hue when compared side-by-side to "Belize Blue", but in CP, I've found that I've been able to achieve that same type of frosty-blue "vibe" with "Celestial Silver" as I'm able to achieve with "Belize Blue" as well! So no matter how beautiful the color & results one will get with a discontinued mica, you'll always be able to come back & find a shade that's equally as stunning amongst Nurture's vast & FABULOUS collection of micas!
Great in Melt and pour/Foaming Bath Whip!
I used this in melt and pour soap and foaming bath whip. ❤️ The color.
