Embers fragrance oil is a mix of sweet cinnamon notes paired with orange to make a warm blend of spice and citrus. This is a great fragrance for the winter and holidays! Compare to Lush® brand Cinders™
Tested 6/18/18 by Carrie T. (owner) in a recipe of 33% lye solution with 5% superfat at 80 degrees. Recipe is 35% olive, 35% organic and sustainable palm, 20% coconut, and 10% castor. Acceleration, seize, and ricing. I was able to get it in the mold but it looked like mashed potatoes. I think it may be ok with full water and a quick stick blending and getting it right into the mold. You would have to work FAST! Because of the seizing, this oil would be best for bath bombs or salts. In about 2 minutes, this fragrance turned bright orange in the mold!

I have only used this in melt and pour but I was wonderful!! The smell is great and long lasting.
When I first opened the bottle, the scent reminded me of cherry cough syrup. I dipped a swab in it and left the swab in a bag for a while. After a little exposure to the air, I started to smell more cinnamon. After soaping, I can smell an orangey scent and the cinnamon. It's pleasant, and I think my DH will like it. However, it still smells like candy to me. Or soda. I guess the bottom line is: I like it (it's growing more on me), it's just not what I was hoping for.
As for acceleration, yes. It moved pretty quickly. I only planned on one color and used a cavity mold, which made it much easier. No discoloration so far.
If my husband falls in love with it, I will probably purchase again. Otherwise, I'm still hunting for my go-to orange FO.
They weren't joking about that "yes" in acceleration. I was hoping I'd get a little bit of time, but nearly got soap on a stick. I would not recommend using this in soap unless you're doing hot process or are VERY prepared for the acceleration.
Cinders FO is really nice
Nice smell to my CP soap No prob.
Don't buy for candles
These fragrance oils do not work in candles or wax melts. Otherwise they smell great!
