Cyber Grape mica makes a brilliant bright purple in soaps. It's different than any other purple mica we carry. It is more "electric" in color than our other purple micas. It almost has a neon effect and is perfect for those who want soaps with dramatic and high impact color.
CP: Mix 1 part color with 1 part oil then add to soap.
MP: Mix mica in 91% rubbing alcohol then add to soap base.
HP: Add micas toward the end of the cook to retain the most color.
Avoid green and yellow oils. The whiter the base, the brighter the color! Gelling soap makes colors pop. Read our FAQ section for more info on using colors.
Bath Bombs (if safe for use): Use polysorbate 80 when using mica to color bath bombs. This will help disperse the color and prevent a powder ring around the tub.
I recently used the cyber grape mica in bath bombs and soap. I like it, I think it’s bright and gave me the color I was looking for. I will be ordering it again.
What a great purple. I use it as one of the colors in my black raspberry vanilla cold process soap. Beautiful
Wow!!!!! Love this Cyber Grape Mica!
It mixes in Resin really well and the color is Outstanding!
I've used this mica a couple of times and have been disappointed by the results. At first it morphs to a dull ish grey/almost brown, and so far in my couple of batches, it morphs into a dull pink color. I'm not going to write it off as a true disappointment because I might not have used enough to get the color I need. Would try again but maybe start with the 5g jar to test the waters first.
Michelle, this can happen when not enough is used. This mica can be used at 1-2 tsp. per pound to get a great purple color!
Love the color
I haven’t used this mica yet, but it looks AMAZING in the container. My next batch of soap will surely have this color in it!
