In every way, this Brazilian Clay Set wowed me!!! I have a complete obsession with mica colorants, but when I first began my soapmaking journey, natural colorants were all I used. For a recent blog post, I wanted to go back to my "soapy roots", and incorporate some of my old style with a dash of the new... This clay set was the catalyst for what made one of the most enjoyable projects I've ever done! The colors of these clays come to life when dispersed in a bit of carrier oil, and even more so in application! Black Brazilian Clay is a dark & defining shade; Red Brazilian Clay reminds me SO MUCH of the red rocks of Sedona, AZ! Pink Brazilian Clay is a beautiful, peachy pink; Gold Brazilian Clay is a gilded, yellow-gold stunner, and Purple Brazilian Clay is a gorgeous, dusky purple, reminiscent of an evening sky! CPOP brings the magic of these colors to life even MORE, and in every way, I am IMPRESSED!! Using 2t/PPO the results were nothing short of breathtaking! This is the PERFECT set for those wishing to use natural colorants in their soaps, or anyone who's ever wanted to incorporate clays into their crafty creations... I cannot recommend this set enough!
I used all of these clays to make my third ever batch of CP soap! They looked great after going through gel phase.
I haven't used all of these clays as of yet. But I have used the pink, red and purple in facial bars and I must say my aging skin hasn't felt this good in years.
Great Introduction to Clay
I've only been making soap a short time, and it's so hard to know which additives to use and what they do. I bought this set just to dip my toes in the "clay" colorant world and I love it! The colors have been great for the more natural line of soap I'm trying to work on, and it's fun to see the colors pop a bit more if you allow your soap to go through gel phase.
I am new to soap making and I am enjoying working with the clay collection.
