Bourbon Street fragrance oil is reminiscent of artists in old school jazz clubs gathering around to pontificate life, sometimes taking the stage to be the voice of reason during this remarkable change in cultural and musical evolution. Tonka bean and sandalwood, rose and Buddha wood combine in this heady fragrance to evoke visions of the beat era, the coolest era in jazz. Compare to Lush® brand The Voice of Reason™

This is a wonderful scent!! And holds up really well in soap
WOW WOW WOW!
This FO is INCREDIBLE! Complex, mysterious, smokey, rich, deep & sultry! If I would've smelled it OOB & left it at that, I might've thought this FO wasn't quite for me... And I would've missed out, BIG TIME! This is one of those elusively sexy, dark, dapper aromas that manifests into pure art in CP application! OOB, my nose could mainly detect smokey whiskey notes with a sweet undertone. In application, those smokey notes remain present, but also clear a path beautifully for notes of sweet tonka to come through, and nuances that remind me of warm Oudh with a kiss of rich suede! It's so hard to describe this scent, but as my soaps have cured, the scent has only continued to get richer, deeper, sexier, more rounded and multifaceted! It's a sexy masterpiece, and went exceptionally well with my beer soap recipe! Behavior in CP was great! No issues while soaping, no ricing, no discolor! Next to NS's "Earth Meets Sky" and "Oudh Wood" FO's, this is, without a doubt, an all-time favorite now! I'm so glad I put this in a batch of soap and discovered what a true, mysteriously rich beauty this fragrance is! True to every single NS FO I've had the pleasure of crafting with, the quality is second to none as well! This FO was a "like" oob, but a "LOVE" in application!
Fantastic manly scent that transcends gender!
Smells like leather and that is divine. Soaps easily and I can hardly keep it in stock!
Another winner from Nurture! Fabulous scent...love love love. No issues with seizing or ricing...plenty of time to do hangar swirl and decorative top if you start at a light trace. 3lb CP batch with 25% water soaped at 80%. Mica colors were Merlot and Copper which so far have not faded or changed color (2 weeks post pour). Scent remains strong and smells even better to me. Will buy again.
Smells sooo good!!!
REALLY nice fragrance! I'm not familiar with any of Lush's scents, so I can't compare on those lines. OOB this fragrance has the most wonderful balance of high and low notes, which is important for balancing a fragrance I imagine would appeal to men. I made a HP beer soap and thought this would be the best scent of all I had on hand to pair with belgian beer ... the results were disappointing. I add my FO after the cook when the soap's temp is between 175-180 (typically 176-178) so I'm careful to use only FOs with high flashpoints (as this one). Once cooled and cut, the depth of the fragrance was lost so much that it only resembled the OOB smell. Still nice, but nowhere as good as it had been. Really wanted to give this one 5-stars, but it just morphs too much in the soap.
