Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of oils.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

As with most dark purples, this color can be a bit tricky in cold process soaps. At times you may get a rich amethyst color, and other times it may turn smoky gray. We suggest testing this in your recipe in making CP soap to see how it works for you. This color is stunning in melt and pour soap!

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

very dark purple

Holy smokes, this is an extremely dark purple. It looked mostly black in my cp soap. I'm gonna try again using a little less mica. I couldn't really see purple, it looked black in my cp soap. That wasn't the color palate I was trying for.
