Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

Color Morphed

Didn't come out the way I wanted it to. I saw the color that it would be in CP soap which is why I bought it. Unfortunately it turned out a dull pink. I am posting a picture. It's the color right under the purple at the top of the bar.
Maybe my recipe just isn't cut out for the color. It is beautiful in the jar and I will definitely be using it again as I bought a 4 oz jar. Maybe I'll use it in MP embeds as well.

We're sorry it didn't work out for you! Sometimes this softer pink doesn't hold up to certain oils (green or very yellow oils will wash it out). Light colors always do better with a very white base. If your base is very white already you might just need to use a bit more to get a brighter pink! :)

Beautiful pink in cold process soap! It is a great staple, and I will repurchase. I really like the soft pink it produces in cold process and it has a nice subtle sparkle on top of soap or in melt and pour.

Second time ordering it, that’s how much I love this pink!

A lovely lighter pink!

Finding a stable light-pink mica has been a bit of a challenge for me as most of the lightest pinks aren't stable in cold process soap. They're useful in other ways, of course, but I use a lot of various pinks in my cold process soaps. The more variety I have in shades of pink, the better. I own and use a few different Nurture Soap pinks, but Amaranth is my favorite true lighter pink--not color, not red, not purple, but pink. Love it, so useful!
