Awesome set This set is the perfect way to try all the reds. I love these colors and this company has the best colorants for my cp soap. - Cathey
Achieving red in cold process in a hard task. Red naturally reacts to high pH and wants to fade. At Nurture Soap, we have created many red colors and sets that survive high pH and remain bright and bold in cold process soap.
Each sample is 5 grams and comes in jars. 5 grams is typically 3-4 teaspoons depending on the density of the color. Powders that are denser will contain fewer teaspoons, and powders that are fluffier will contain more.
Trial by Fire: This color is premixed and easy to use. It does not bleed like Really Red can.
Really Red Pigment: This is a color created by the owner of Nurture Soap in a quest for a true red in cold process. It is premixed at our facility for your convenience and super easy to use. Add a bit of this pigment in your soap oils and mix well, then add to soap. This red is the REDDEST of the reds but may bleed and migrate over time into other colors. Soap that is used within 6 months does best with this color because it tends to migrate (especially into white) at about the 6-month mark. This is a pink-based red and is for soap only.
~Really Red! is premixed and super easy to use.~
Perfect Red Set: A great red that consists of two colors and is super easy to mix. This is the least expensive option to achieve a true red in cold process soap. It does tend to migrate a bit, but much less than Really Red! This is a great all-around red to have on hand. This is a pink-based red and is for soap only. It is the same as Really Red! and works best if pre-mixed into oils and then added to soap.
My Red Obsession Mica: The most versatile of all the reds! This is a color created by the owner of Nurture Soap with a mission to find a great mica-based red that could be used in all types of cosmetics such as eyeshadow, bath bombs, etc. Our other reds are for soap only, and My Red Obsession can be used in everything. It is premixed and the easiest red to use. You may disperse in oil before adding to soap or add it directly to thinly traced soap batter and blend well. This will be a more brick red than our other red options, but is so versatile and easy to use that it is our favorite red! This is also a pink-based red.

True Red Trio: The hardest to use, but with great results! This is the only orange-based red we carry. Think Folgers coffee can red. The True Red Trio uses three colors to achieve true red, but it does not bleed or migrate. If bleeding or color migration are undesirable to you, this is the color to use! To mix, add three equal parts of color and mix very well. Add this to oil and then add to soap. more instructions can be found on the True Red Trio product page.
My red obsession worked great in my CP soap, as well as the Perfect red set. No issues. I haven't used the Red Neon pigment yet but, I cant wait to try it.
This set is the perfect way to try all the reds. I love these colors and this company has the best colorants for my cp soap.
I am really impressed with the reds in this collection! The Really Red pigment provides a great red in CP but it does migrate. The Perfect Red set creates a great red as well. I haven't used the My Red Obsession yet, but am sure I will like the results of it as well.
