The current batch of 7 pound liners available have been affected by cold in transit and have become wavy and misshapen. This can sometimes be remedied by warming the liner in a warm water bath. We are not satisfied with this batch of liners and are offering them at 60% off regular price.
You can also tape the liner to the mold box to prevent waving. After some time the silicone will naturally take the shape of the wooden box.
All sales of the discounted 7 lb liners are final.
Our 7 pound silicone loaf mold liner holds 82 ounces (5.1 pounds) of oils maximum. It will hold approximately 7 -7.5 pounds of finished soap. If this mold is filled to the very top, this liner can yield up to 7.8 pounds of soap before cure or cook.
I'm soooooo sad that Nurture soap has decided to no longer offer this liner size. All my production line is made with these molds, of this size / width. I hope every day nurture soap change their minds and put them back available online. Good quality, work great.
I bought these when they were deeply discounted and I saw no issues with mine. They didn't seem bowed or misshapen in any way. This 7lb loaf liner makes me soap a bit narrower than my usual bar size, but it's not very noticeable when everything is all packaged up. This mold is pretty deep (I like my bars about 2.5in high) so I don't fill it all the way. I've only made hot processed soap in these so far.
Not Happy with this liner at all.
So I bought this liner while it was on sale, two in fact. I really was excited to get them and when I got them I began to use them right away. Unfortunately, I have had nothing but problems. First, every single soap I have made has stuck to the liner, which ruins the sides of the soap. I have tried several things to keep it from sticking with no success. Also, this liner is very thick, and not very pliable so when you go to unmold the soap, the corners of the soap get torn off.
I thought maybe it was my recipe being too soft, so I have tried several different recipes and different batches, but nothing has changed. All the soaps have stuck and all the ends have had the corner pulled away. Obviously that is a huge problem. If this didn’t happen, I would say they are great. But literally, every single soap sticks. It’s truly a bummer. I am certainly glad I didn’t pay full price for this or I definitely would have returned them.
I am not one to complain about things. All my other purchases from Nurture Soap have been excellent, but this one is just no good. The photos below is an example of how the sides look after I have taken the soap out of the mold. I had to reattach the corner it took off, which looks pretty lame. I will have to do some shaving and fixing of this soap to make it look presentable.
I'm very happy with the durability of this mold, and super excited about the price I was able to buy it at. Now it's time to use it
This is a deal of a lifetime of you happen to get these. Time and heat fix a lot of things. The liners work well for me!
