4.5 lb Tall Skinny Premium Mold
Our 4.5 pound premium tall and skinny soap mold holds 49.5 ounces (3.09 pounds) of oils. It has removable sides and a clear lid for viewing soap as it gels. The lid limits contact with air during saponification reducing ash on soaps. This mold features a food-grade silicone liner. It is made via a special molding process that results in silicone that will not tear or stretch over time like other types of silicone can.

Finally a T&S mold I can get full sized bars from and even play with embeds instead of just getting guest sized bars. Love having the clear lid too!
It works perfect. Love the clear top. My only complaint is that the silicone liner can be a bit tough to remove the soap from, I no longer can get it out at 18-24 hours it’s now closer to 36 but I don’t mind too much. The firmness does provide stability.
I started with the free-standing silicone TS molds when I was starting, but they bowed terribly if they were filled to capacity. These are sturdy tanks. I love that they are tall enough to give headspace and still have room for a built-in lid for avoiding ash. I wish they had a longer version (I know there are doubles and triples, but I still wish it was an option.) Because you're removing it from such a deep mold, and the liners are sturdy and thick, it can be a bit tricking getting the loaf out quickly, but I'll trade in some patience for the results - great insulation with little ash.
This has quickly become my new favorite mold. Love the clear top, make it easy to see what is happening without disturbing the soap. My only complaints are that the liner is quite stiff, which gets you great corners but its sometimes hard to peel it back to get the soap out, and I wish it was longer. I wish it was the same height & width but 25 inches long so I could get 24 1" bars and 2 1/2" bars for samples. But those complaints are minor and I will definitely be ordering more.
Proud to say this mold, made in the USA, is the best mold I’ve ever purchased. I have quite a few and I will be ordering more of these. Spend the extra and get this premium one. I love that the sides come apart and it has a lid! Great job NSC!!!
I really love these molds. I got two. I will be getting additional ones in other sizes. The silicone liner is perfect no flopping. I hope it stays that way. I have silicone molds from somewhere else and from day one they fold in and flop over... not these. Very easy to get the soap out too and it seem to harden up faster. There is a top as well. Love them!!!
I sure wish I had gotten this mold sooner! They look so much nicer! It holds my entire batch perfectly (50 oz oils) and I am really impressed by all the extras like the sliding cover and removable walls, not to mention the overall quality period. I love this! I give it 10 stars!
Well, I've been making soap for 5 years and selling locally. I've always loved the look of the tall and skinny soap, but I already had 6 regular square molds. I bit the bullet and bought one loaf to see how I liked it and I LOVE IT. The shape is more esthetic, to me, and the wooden box with a sliding top works wonderfully. I am a convert to tall and skinny.
Just used this mold for first time and while the removable wooden sides made it a breeze to get the silicone part out, the soap was almost impossible to wrestle out of the silicone liner! Turned into a 2 person job getting the soap out and even then I damaged it in the process (but was able to fix). Wonder if there’s a way to re-design this tall skinny shape with a way to more easily get soap out? Overall the quality is excellent though.
