Our 4.5 pound tall and skinny basic soap mold holds 49.5 ounces (3.09 pounds) of oils maximum. It will yield approximately 4.5 pounds of finished soap. If the soap mold is filled to the very top, each cavity can yield up to 4.65 pounds before cure or cook. This mold will make 11 1" bars of soap.
This is the perfect tall and skinny mold. I love the easy clean up and sturdy sides. I have 4 now, and they are all I want to use. I Do recommend going heavy with Sodium lactate for ease of unmolding however.
Best Mold Ever
Love this mold. Makes the perfect size bar. Easy to release. Easy to clean up. I have two and I’m gonna need more.
Skinny Tall wood and silicone molds
I love this mold so much I purchased 4!!💕 My soap bars always come iut beautiful and I dont need to waste time and money with freezer paper!!!
So pleased with this mold and the liner. Easy to use, unmolds easily, perfect size for a single batch. Easy to clean. Makes a nice sized bar that fits in the hand well when sliced. I also got the dividers---very happy with those too. Seems to be durable---time will tell. Nice product overall. I highly recommend.
Very good mold but prefer the premium model
I purchased this mold because I had a new requirement for a custom soap (2.5 in. square). The mold was the right width but the depth created some challenges for me. Since the mold was not very full, the liner did not stay erect and leaned inward. This caused some distortion to the shape of my soap. I solved this problem by taping the top edge of the liner to the wooden mold. I also had a problem with unmolding the soap. My soap took longer than usual to firm up. I'm guessing this was due to the depth of the mold. This problem was solved by slightly increasing the amount of sodium lactate in my formula. After working through these initial problems, I'm happy with the mold and I'm getting consistently good results with my soap. My only criticism now is that sometimes the liner is difficult to remove from the wooden mold. I will be purchasing another mold soon but will probably upgrade to the premium mold to facilitate liner removal. I have been using the 18 in. premium mold for over a year now and it is awesome!
