    Product description

Our 2-pound soap mold holds 22.5 ounces (1.5 pounds) of oils maximum. The liner for this mold is different from our other silicone liners. It is much thinner and will be prone to bowing. We wanted a small thinner liner at a great price point for beginning soapers. We like smaller molds when learning how to soap because as you're learning you won't be using as many ingredients. If something goes awry it's not a very big loss!

    Mold Specifications

    • Liner(s) Used: 2 lb Liner
    • Liner Capacity: 22.5 ounces of oils
    • ID of Liner: 7.5" L x 3" W x 2.5" H
    • Finished Soap Capacity: 7 - 1" bars

    Basic, Premium, or Handle Mold?

We often get asked about the difference between basic and premium molds.

    Basic Molds:

    • Have a wooden box to support the liner.
    • Have holes in the bottom of the wooden mold to push out the liner.
    • Do not have a lid.

    Premium Molds:

    • Have a wooden box to support the liner.
    • Have a clear lid to view soap as it gels and prevent soda ash.
    • Have grooves in the wooden mold box that the lid slides into, creating a seal between the soap and outside air. This is the main method of preventing ash.
    • Have removable sides for easy removal of the liner.

    Handle Molds:

Handle molds come in basic and premium styles. They provide the ultimate ease of use when making soap. The lip of the liner surrounds the wood mold and keeps it clean. The handles on the liner allow for very easy removal from the mold.

However, the sides of the wooden mold box are not removable in the premium style, and the basic style does not have holes in the bottom of the box for removal. This is because you can simply lift up by handles and the liner pops right out! Another benefit of our handle molds is the silicone is thin yet sturdy, make soap a breeze to remove from the liner.

If you do not gel or cover your soaps, basic molds are best. They can be covered with cling wrap to prevent ash. If you prefer to gel your soaps and want more ease of use, premium molds are ideal. Handle molds offer the best of both worlds in premium and basic styles.

    Mold Sets:

A mold set is any mold available as a full set. For example, basic molds come with a liner and wood support box and premium molds come with a liner and a box and a lid. Mold sets are all the components you need in a mold at a lower price then buying them separately.

How to calculate the volume of a mold:

    1. L x W X H = ? X .4
    2. Example: 18 x 3.5 x 2.5 = 157.5 x .4 = 63 ounces of oils
    3. This is the maximum amount of oils that can be used with this size mold.
    4. Use any mold and calculate the max amount of oils the same way.

    Perfect for New Soap Maker

I am a beginner and I bought 2 of these molds with the liners and am very pleased with their performance. They were very easy to remove the liners from the wood part because of the holes in the bottom, and the liners came off easily revealing your masterpiece of freshly made soap. I appreciated the price as well. They are awesome for test batches and beginners.

    Good for the price

I just needed another test batch mold and this is not anything more than I thought it would be or anything less. I use clips to hold up the mold while pouring.

    Good for test soaps

I use this to test a fragrance or a small custom order. Good quality for the price. It’s hard to get your soap out of the mold, but it’s good for the price.

    My little Maverick

This is the cutest little mold I've seen. it is great for those left over batches you can't fit in your bigger molds. They make great guest soaps, specially if you cut the soaps in half you end up with little perfect pieces samples. I will be getting more to make samples, it becomes cheaper to use this side mold than cutting my regular bars into sample sizes. Save money, get one of these ;)

    Great for beginners

This is a wonderful mold for beginners or those interested in making smaller batches. The silicone liner easily separates from the soap when ready to unmold.

    Perfect for beginners

Great quality for the price. As a new soap-maker, I'm glad I found an affordable loaf mold as I learn and experiment with how much soap I'm actually going to make. It makes seven 1 inch soap bars. It's sturdy & I have not had any trouble unmolding the soap from the silicone. I highly recommend
