Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

Best Rich Gold Mica!

I own several gold micas from my two favorite mica suppliers, and Maya Gold is my favorite of the darker gold micas. It has a rich shimmer and looks particularly good on black or other dark-colored soaps. It's also an excellent color for making "drizzle" for honey soaps.

The best gold I have found

Golden

I have a yellow that just fades out as it cures in soap. It's unfortunate as I've seen a lot of yellows do this. This gold Mica is beautiful and it aides in my yellow looking the way I imagined it would without fading.

Rich gold color

This gold is a little deeper and richer than I normally use, but it gives the soap a beautiful gold color. It's great for mica lines, drizzling on top of soaps, and mixing in the batter to give it a gold tint. When using the soap to wash it shimmers. The slightly deeper color makes it ideal for masculine and gender neutral soaps. In the photo I dusted the top of the soap before swirling. If you're looking for a gold mica that is more "gold" and less "yellow" this is a great choice
