Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of oils.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

Any orange mica with a red tone can act a little funny when it's exposed to too much heat. It's the nature of the color itself. To avoid any surprises, we recommended using this mica at lower temperatures when making cold process soaps.

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

I’m not sure if it’s high temperatures but this mica starts out as a beautiful orange but after 24hrs the soap is half dark and half light, not appealing at all. I can’t risk using this again:(

It most likely is the temperature causing the problem! We state on use notes that any orange with red tones to it can act a little strange if it gets too hot. It is best to soap very cool with this one!

Perfect Fall color!

I purchased this color for my fall soaps and it did not disappoint. I’ve included a photo of my tester soaps for reference. It’s a beautiful mica!

A bit more mellow but still a terrific orange

I LOVE this color! I mostly use it to paint my Winifred Sanderson bath bombs, but it also great for pumpkin related projects!
