  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

Never too many "reds"

As I started pulling micas for my fall soap designs I was surprised to see so little left in my 1 oz. jar and then I started thinking about the fall soaps I made last year and realized that most had Fire Cider in the design. I used it to represent leaves and in swirled designs. It plays well off Brick Red when the two are used together against a creamy or light gold background.

Great Fall Color

This is a great fall color. I used it to make some melt and pour leaves that I am putting on top of a fall soap. They look great! Supper shimmery in melt and pour.
