Autumn in NYC

There's something special about autumn in NYC and this is like that essence in a bottle. I love walking through Central Park all year but especially in the fall with a cup of warm tea to warm the hands up and this has that same feeling and scent minus the scents of hot dogs and pretzels, otherwise it's spot on. Of the fragrance oil order I placed this is one of the top scents that I really liked.

Ok

Got it based on rave reviews but not my favorite type of scent. Behaves in soap.

Moderate to fast acceleration

The first time I made soap with this FO, it accelerated like crazy. I thought it was something I'd done - soaped too hot, overblended the batch, too many hard oils, that sort of thing. The second time, I'm a little more careful, even though all testing notes indicate no acceleration - soaped at 95F, more liquid oils, hand stirred in the FO and all colorants, and I still ended up with nearly soap-on-a-stick consistency not even a minute after adding the fragrance. 25 lbs of soap later, I can confidently say this FO rices and accelerates upon contact with soap - even when I managed to keep one batch liquid enough to pour, upon cutting I found white frosted looking chunks where the FO had congealed with the soap despite adding at emulsion and hand stirring it all in.

I like this scent a lot, I really do. It smells like rain-tumbled leaves on a wet autumn day, and much more natural and earthy than a lot of other autumn-themed scents that I've found. I plan on continuing to use it... with extreme caution. And that's what I recommend to other soapmakers too - extreme caution when using this FO, because I don't feel that the testing notes reflect its behavior in soap.
