New Formula Tested 3/27/2020:  With the Nurture Soap Making Blend in a 33% lye solution with 5% superfat. This fragrance does not accelerate but does separate. I had to stick blend into submission but it poured nicely. It's much better than the old formula but I would recommend it for advanced soap makers. Best if soaped at around 76 degrees and at about 4% of the total oils. It is highly recommended to do a small test batch first to see if this fragrance works with your recipe.

Old Formula Tested 6/28/18:  In a recipe of 33% lye solution with 5% superfat at 75 degrees. Recipe is 35% olive, 35% organic and sustainable palm, 20% coconut, and 10% castor. I was prepared for rapid acceleration because of the reviews. I experienced the opposite. For me, this fragrance would not trace. I actually thought I had mismeasured because it stayed liquid for so long. I quit blending because my stick blender was getting hot.

Once I got the soap in the mold, it did set up rather quickly. There seems to be something - most likely temperature - that 'activates' this fragrance.

6/29/18 - I unmolded this the day after testing. The fragrance had heated up so much in the mold that it left a huge hole in the middle. When cut, it leaked fragrance everywhere. This is definitely not recommended for cold process!

  • Acceleration in Cold Process: Yes - Separation
  • Discoloration in Cold Process: Dark brown

Coconut Dream

It's like a sweet coconut drink with a pastry covered in powdered sugar. It really smells so good. I will be using it bath bombs and expect it to mix great with other scents in any tropical type. I wouldn't have ever smelled this and thought - vetiver.

A Total Fail

I was so excited to use this fragrance and boy, what a disaster it was. I loved the smell but it was a mess to work with. I’ll have to find another use for it because it didn’t work for my CP soaps. It didn’t blend out well and it separated on me. Yikes!

Great Scent

The scent is wonderful, but it does live up to its reputation. You cannot make any elaborate designs or plans in CP soap with this scent. May work better in HP soap, which is worth a try due to how wonderful it smells.

My daughter thinks it smells like chocolate lol

I think I have to disagree with her, but there’s really no arguing with a 6 year old ;) This coconut vetiver isn’t my favorite scent, but it is hers. Every batch of melt & pour soap that she’s made with me so far she’s chosen this for her scent. It’s not an overpowering scent, which I like.
