Descripción

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of oils.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

As with most dark purples, this color can be a bit tricky in cold process soaps. At times you may get a rich amethyst color, and other times it may turn smoky gray. We suggest testing this in your recipe in making CP soap to see how it works for you. This color is stunning in melt and pour soap!

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

Lovely black raspberry color

This one I used in my dragon bath bombs and gives them a regal dark purple look that my male buyer's loved instantly!

Didn't work out for me

I really wanted this color to take. As it says in the use notes, this one is definitely tricky in cold process soap. I was careful to plan accordingly so gray would still work. I will try again as I am in love with this color in the bag. If the next batch doesn't work out, I'm seeing some bath bombs in my future!
