The powder in the jar may look different than you expect! Dyes need to be added to water to turn into their true color.

Dyes are very concentrated! A little goes a very long way. Dye can stain hands, counter tops, or anything it touches. Wear gloves and protect all work surfaces.

Cold Process Soap: Dyes are not recommended for CP soap. They tend to morph, migrate into other colors, and bleed.

Liquid & MP Soaps: They are absolutely wonderful for use in melt & pour and liquid soaps. Dilute the dye with a bit of water then add to your soap.

Bath Bombs: Dyes are best when bloomed before adding to your bath bomb recipe. Blooming means to dissolve a bit of dye in water first, then add to the baking soda that goes in your bath bomb mix.

Lori at The Nova Studio offers an excellent tutorial on how to do this. You can access the tutorial here or watch the video below.

Can't wait to experiment

Using in my bath bombs and can't wait to experiment with blending dyes for new presentation.

Pretty pink

I know it says it’s a red color and that’s probably because that’s the color you get in C.P soap but I use this red to make bath bombs and they turn out pink. Love how easy it it to use.
