Description

Safe for externally applied facial makeup and nail polish; <10%; for infrequent use (e.g., Halloween).

Soap use is completely fine. Not for use in bath bombs!

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

Our glow pigment is a very dense powder that adds glow to soaps. On it's own it's an off white and will not add color. It can be added to micas or neon pigments to add glow. It needs to be exposed to light in order to glow in the dark. Place under bright lights then take your soap to a dark room and watch it glow!

Amazing glow, works with all colors!

I got this to make glow in the dark space themed soaps for an event. It has outperformed my highest expectations! In melt and pour, it combines beautifully with a range of colors, and at least neon pigments actually shift the color of the glow itself. The recommended usage is 1/2tsp per pound; I went up a bit and used about 1.5tsp for 36oz, along with 1/2tsp of neon pigment. (For the black soap, I used a liquid colorant.) I whisked the glow in the dark pigment and the neon colors with a bit of 99% alcohol before mixing them in with the melted base—because the glow in the dark pigment is so heavy, this helps disperse it and get it fully incorporated (and if you’re using neons in melt and pour, you should either mix with alcohol or your fragrance oil before combining to avoid streaks). The photo exaggerates it a bit, but the glow of the pink soaps is very definitely pink!
