I started with the free-standing silicone TS molds when I was starting, but they bowed terribly if they were filled to capacity. These are sturdy tanks. I love that they are tall enough to give headspace and still have room for a built-in lid for avoiding ash. I wish they had a longer version (I know there are doubles and triples, but I still wish it was an option.) Because you're removing it from such a deep mold, and the liners are sturdy and thick, it can be a bit tricking getting the loaf out quickly, but I'll trade in some patience for the results - great insulation with little ash.
