Honey Blush is a soft bronze mica powder with flashes of silver. It is a warm color that reminds us of summer. Unlike similar colors that can fade in cold process, this color holds true imparting a honey-like tone to soap.
CP: Mix 1 part color with 1 part oil then add to soap.
MP: Mix mica in 91% rubbing alcohol then add to soap base.
HP: Add micas toward the end of the cook to retain the most color.
Avoid green and yellow oils. The whiter the base, the brighter the color! Gelling soap makes colors pop. Read our FAQ section for more info on using colors.
Bath Bombs (if safe for use): Use polysorbate 80 when using mica to color bath bombs. This will help disperse the color and prevent a powder ring around the tub.
I never knew I could fall THIS MUCH in love with a beige mica, but this mica is GORGEOUS!!! I originally bought this for CP soaps I made for a baby shower, & "mama" had picked NS's "Harlequin Romance" FO (after smelling multiple samples, that's the FO she chose!) & colors of royal blue, beige & white to match her theme. I instantly fell in love with this color the moment I saw it, & when I read it was safe for external use, eyes & lips, SO MANY IDEAS came to my head! I've actually been using this mica as a shimmery contouring powder on my cheek bones and it is positively STUNNING! This mica isn't JUST a soap colorant! The shade is so warm, translucent & shimmery on the skin, it would make for a jaw dropping bronzer, highlighter, blush, eyeshadow & lip shade too! There's so many possibilities, I think I need to come back for MORE soon! And then there's CP! Oh does this look gorgeous in that too! It created the absolute PERFECT shade of rich, honey beige in CP (PRECISELY the shade desired!), and next to NS's "Klein Blue" mica it looks positively CLASSY!!! Out of all the INCREDIBLE micas I've purchased from Nurture, THIS color right here is so totally in my top five! I've decided I won't ever let myself run out of it because it stays in my bathroom now lol! Just the tiniest dusting of it blended across my cheekbones gives the most incredible dewy, glowing, fresh-faced look! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mica!!!
I haven't used this mica in my cp soap yet, but it made the most beautiful makeup highlighter/cream blush. Would also be a great shimmery nude gloss color. Easy to work with, dispersed in my formula without any trouble, looks beautiful on skin.
Light Golden Honey Tone
Just what I pictured in mind.
I Love this color!
I wanted a light neutral beige that I could use either as a stand alone color or as a base to add other colors to. I am NOT disappointed. I can add warm tones and get a complete different shade. I love it as it is as the tones can pull from the surrounding colors too!
This is an awesome Honey color in CP Soap. It doesn’t morph or cause any acceleration. Looks great in Oatmeal, Milk, Honey soaps.
