Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: .5-1 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .25-.5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

Less is more when using black iron oxide! It's a very strong pigment. It will not migrate into other colors but will bleed if too much is used. Bleed will cause stained washcloths or cause the color to run down the side of the shower!

The greatest benefit of black iron oxide is that it will create a very deep black in soaps and will not migrate into other colors. It can be added to activated charcoal or black mica to create truly black soaps (no gray!)

Black Iron Oxide

Used this to lesson the brightness of a green that I had. It didn't take much to achieve to look/color I was after. It will last a long time and I'm happy with that! I recommend this color.

BLACK is better than gray

If you going to go black, this iron oxide is the ingredient you need to achieve that midnight look. If not, you will just get gray.

Perfect Black

I use this with charcoal to get a nice rich black in CP soap since you need a lot of charcoal to get a nice true black.

This is a true black and heavily pigmented. Turned out well in my cp soap blend!
