Description

Butterfly Garden fragrance oil smells like spring! Top notes of black tea, tangerine, cyclamen and banana leaf. Middle notes of orchid and French mimosa and bottom notes of coconut milk and musk. Picture walking through a meadow on a warm spring day with scents of fresh grass and wildflowers surrounding you. This fragrance smells just like that! Clean, fresh, floral and slightly herbal.

Tested 6/19/18 in a recipe of 33% lye solution with 5% superfat at 70 degrees. Recipe is 35% olive, 35% organic and sustainable palm, 20% coconut, and 10% castor. No acceleration and perfect pour.

Please note some customers have reported acceleration at higher temperatures!

Perfect in Cold Process Soap

Oh my goodness! Butterfly garden smells amazing! It’s a lovely, soft floral scent. If you love Persephone’s Kiss, then you will love this one, too! I used this fragrance in my cold process soap, and while some of the reviews had me worried for a bit because some had stated that it caused acceleration and ricing, it was actually the opposite for me. I had no problems with this fragrance at all. No acceleration, no ricing, no discoloration, no separation, and perfect pour. I soaped at 90 degrees, and I had plenty of time to make gorgeous swirls. This fragrance is a keeper! ❤️

Misbehaved

This scent was a nice fresh smell, however, did misbehave in my cold process soap. It accelerated immediately as well as riced. Luckily I was able to save it!
I soaped at around 100 degrees. If people enjoy it I will try again at a lower temp!

Fast Acceleration!

This Fragrance always accelerates on me, fast! It's a lovely scent, and one of my favorites, but I wish the claims were honest. I hadn't used this scent in a long time and went by the bottle and wasn't prepared. I hope my batch isn't ruined now. I would have worked it differently had I known. I'll definitely mark it on my recipe for next time!

We do report our honest assessment based on our recipe, however not everyone's recipe or soaping temperature is going to be the same as ours therefore not everyone will have the same results! We do note on the description that some customers have reported acceleration when soaping at a higher temperature than we did in our testing (which was 70 degrees).

Riced and accelerated

Riced and accelerated HORRIBLY!
Note: I soaped at roughly 100 degrees (I usually soap between 90-100)
Almost ruined my batch but was able to quickly Save it. Smell is not bad. If people love it I’ll use a simple design and lower temp, but overall probably won’t use often.
