Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 3 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of oils.

This can be used as an alternative to Titanium Dioxide. The samples shown in our pictures are typical use rates of 1 tsp. per pound which is not enough to significantly whiten soap.

To use as an alternative to titanium dioxide, Winter White mica should be used at 3 tsp. per pound of oils. This will result in a much brighter white and there is no speckling as titanium dioxide can sometimes do.

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

Great TD alternative

You have to use quite a bit to get a white in cold process soap but I like to mix it with a little TD as well to use less of it , it creates a very beautiful white ! It doesn’t speed up trace like TD does . I’ve repurchased many times :)

Nice white

Definitely need to use more next time I make soap but I loved not having to use TD. This is much easier to mix than TD as well. Read usage notes before using to get the best white possible.
