OOB smelled of jellybeans with a kick and loved it immediately. Soaped perfectly and stayed fluid in the batter with no A, R or D. Morphed into a play-doh-like scent when I cut the loaf the next day but fragance returned later in the week. It lost its jellybean tartnes and mellowed where the currant really comes through. I wish more if the sweetness stuck around. It really complimented the brisk notes.
Wasn't sure if I liked it when I first smelled it out of the bottle. I used it in cold process yesterday and it smells amaaazing. I will purchase this one again.
I really like this scent. It has a very sweet scent to it.
I ordered the sample bottle of this Lush Dupe and crafted a 2 lb HP loaf that flew off the shelves almost as quick as I could slice it. (OOB I didn't care for it - smelled medicinal) . I then ordered the 2oz bottle and crafted a 7 lb HP loaf that is half gone before I've even put it out for sale. Clients have dubbed this "Fruity Pebbles Candy" and can't get enough of it! It's not my fav, but I like it none the less. Have never smelled the Lush fragrance so I can't compare, but as long as it's so well loved, I'll keep it on hand.
Better than expected
I got this as a sample, and was a little hesitant to try based on the reviews. Out of the bottle it did have a weird artificial note that wasn't appealing. I decided to give it a go anyway. I am so glad that I did! I decided to use this fragrance for cold process. It develops a lot after saponifying. It's subtle and light, not an intense in your face fragrance. The description of jelly beans is spot on, just like the pectin jelly beans I would get as a kid. It also pairs nicely with other fruit and milk/creamy scents. Definitely worth trying out and would purchase a bottle of it!
