Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather.

Many people have success with using Firecracker as red in their soaps. To achieve a great red color, use at at least 2 teaspoons per pound of oils in cold process soap. Red is the trickiest color in the spectrum for CP, and can have a tendency to fade more than any other color! We've found this color performs its best when using at lower temps. Higher temperatures may make it more pink. It's one of the most versatile colors we carry! The red is brilliantly beautiful in clear MP!

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

A solid red

When I'm not using TBF, i reach for this. Its a tad softer, with a slight pink that I gravitate to.

Cool red

I use a lot of red, being a razorback fan and all. But for those times I want that bright in your face red, this one is my go to. It's a nice cool red that sometimes in car freshies gives off a slight pink tone.

This is a beautiful red! Probably my favorite red so far. I love it
