Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: .5-1 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .25-.5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

Less is more when using black iron oxide! It's a very strong pigment. It will not migrate into other colors but will bleed if too much is used. Bleed will cause stained washcloths or cause the color to run down the side of the shower!

The greatest benefit of black iron oxide is that it will create a very deep black in soaps and will not migrate into other colors. It can be added to activated charcoal or black mica to create truly black soaps (no gray!)

Oh so black!

I can’t wait for my soaps to cure so I can use them! I’ve been using AC mixed with nocturnal, but it never stays a true black, and also my skin doesn’t agree with the AC so I’ve been wanting to buy the oxide to try it out, I should have bought the bigger size!

Rich Black Color

This was a great combination to add to my activated charcoal, a little goes a long way and it was such a beautiful rich addition. Definitely another necessary addition to my collection.

Amazing

Use this almost every time I need a darker color or plain black. Mix it with my Charcoal. Ugh. Love

This is the way

If you want a true black, this is the only thing I've found to achieve it. I like using charcoal but add the iron oxide to make it a deep black.

Beautiful Black

I used this in CP soap and pre-dispersed it in a light oil first. It mixed very well with my batter and I was able to get some nice contrast in my swirls.
