Love itAbsolutely love this color, it did not take much to color 42 oz, and it’s nearly spot on to the sample picture. Highly satisfied, next time I order this one I’m definitely ordering more than 1 oz. - Karan
Black Pearl is a black mica with a silver pearlescent sheen. Use at 2 tsp. per pound of oils to get a rich dark color. For our blackest black mica, see Nocturnal. To achieve a true dark black in cold process soaps, try using activated charcoal.
This is a gorgeous sparkly black! I didn't use at full strength as I wanted a dark grey/black. I will be ordering in a larger quantity.
Love the Pearl
Looks lovely. I have yet to mix it into my soap recipe. Will go with other colors purchased from Nurture Soap to make turquoise color. Can't wait.
Love this black!
This soaps wonderfully! To those of you having trouble with it greying instead of turning black, you need to let this go through gel phase! It's an absolute must for this color. It really makes it pop! It also is important that your batch does not turn out lye heavy (with tons of soda ash) because most colors will fade / morph due to the soap being lye heavy. You can't leave a poor review due to the fact that your recipe was off. Check your oil to lye water ratio, make sure the essential oils aren't that of a spicy kind, & fragrance oils are usually the culprit rather than the micas. I also love that this color doesn't bleed black in the finished product lather. When you get this product, make sure you order a large container, because you'll want to use it all of the time.
I wanted something softer than black oxide, but dark enough to still visually read as Black. I'm pretty pleased with this mica. It has a nice little shimmer to it as well. I have a feeling I'll be getting more in the future.
I used this in a soap and it did not go black at all, I used more product then I thought I should to color and it still turned grey and not even a dark grey
