Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of base.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

Working with any orange can be tricky with soaps. For best result with this and any orange mica, soap cool and don't let your soaps get too hot. Heat seems to have a negative effect on orange making fade or peach in color. Orange micas also need a slightly higher usage rate than other colors. For best results use 2 teaspoons per pound of oils, or even more to achieve the depth of color you like.

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate 80 at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

There are many companies selling mica but not like Nurture Soap for 4 years I have been buying from them. I have seen many amazing colors on another sights and Ive purchase them and they've turn out dull, flat or changed dramaticly in my cp soap...okay so I say "self" look and see if Nurture sells it and I find better. This is the Orange I was lookin' for honestly they're Micas NEVER disappoint.

This is a pretty consistent performer...

I'm pleased with this color. I will say that fragrance oils that tend to impact color can impact this one quite a bit. Not as much as some, but be aware that you might see some fading and combining with other colors IF you are using a fragrance that can morph colors. I stick with this one typically using two colors and the second color is usually white.
