Description

  • Use rate in cold & hot process soaps: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
  • Use rate in melt & pour soaps: .5 teaspoons per pound of oils.

~ More or less can be added to achieve your desired color. These usage rates are recommended for no colored lather. ~

As with most dark purples, this color can be a bit tricky in cold process soaps. At times you may get a rich amethyst color, and other times it may turn smoky gray. We suggest testing this in your recipe in making CP soap to see how it works for you. This color is stunning in melt and pour soap!

If using in bath bombs, add polysorbate at half your oils. For example, if your oil = 3 teaspoons, use polysorbate at 1.5 teaspoons. This will help prevent a color ring around the tub.

INCI Mica, titanium dioxide, manganese violet
Micron Size 10-60

Spot on blackberry color!

If you make blackberry soap of any sort and don't have this mica yet - stop right now - and get this color! It's perfect! I use this to make blackberry soap dough embelishments and they are spot on perfect. This color is also amazing for Halloween themed soaps.

Lovely

This is one of my favorite mica colors. I just used it to make lines in a clay soap. The beauty of this color is it's versatility. You can use it as a base color, an accent color, a mix. It has a beautiful hue to it, very dark berry. Just keep it away from reds. It does well with purples, blues, yellows. Makes them pop.
